This month's reflective question: Have you taken advantage of the annual A to Z Challenge in terms of marketing, networking, publicity for your book? What were the results?
Unfortunately, I'm not participating this year, due to health issues as well as other things, but I participated in the A to Z Challenge last year and met so many wonderful people from all over the world. It is a fantastic opportunity to network and make new friends. Wishing all 2017 participants lots of fun!
My April is filled with preparations for releasing my début novel: Ultimate Principle - a crime novel introducing DCI Lane Rivers. I received the final edits back from my lovely editor, and am frantically giving it a final surface level clean up. In addition to this I am designing my book cover, putting the finishing touches to my new website and learning how to format a print book (a trying task for a technophone like me😧). So a truly busy and rather stressful month. Lots of insecurities going on, but I'll triumph in the end.
If anyone has a tip on formatting covers for print books (apart from paying someone else to do it 😉), I'd be very grateful.
How is your April shaping up? Are you in the process of publishing something new?
Wishing you all a happy month. Keep writing and stay positive. You can do it!
